CTIHK (06055) surged over 6% in afternoon trading. As of press time, the stock was up 6.62% to HK$46.7, with trading volume reaching HK$223 million.

On the news front, British American Tobacco recently announced that the glo series will soon be launched in Italy and Poland, including the new glo Hilo Hilo, glo HiloPlus, and virto heated tobacco products. Following the nationwide launch of Hilo in Japan on September 1, market feedback has been positive, with key focus on sales performance after Hilo's launch in key European markets.

According to reports, CTIHK's three core businesses contribute as follows to revenue: tobacco leaf import business 81.4%, tobacco leaf export business 11.2%, and cigarette export business 5.3%, totaling 98.0%. Their gross profit contributions are 72.6%, 6.7%, and 15.0% respectively, totaling 94.3%.

Analysts noted that in the first half of 2025, CTIHK achieved steady growth in both revenue and profit, mainly due to strong growth in tobacco leaf import and export business and declining financial expenses. Looking ahead, the company adheres to its strategic positioning as "China Tobacco International Group's offshore capital market operation and international business expansion platform," with endogenous and external expansion progressing in tandem, making leapfrog development promising.
