CGN Power Receives State Council Approval for Construction of 1,217 MW Huizhou Units 5 & 6

On 31 July 2026, CGN Power Co., Ltd. announced that its subsidiary, CGN Huizhou No. 3 Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., has obtained State Council approval to build Huizhou Nuclear Power Plant Units 5 and 6.

Each of the two new units will deploy HPR1000 v2.0 reactor technology and have an individual installed capacity of 1,217 MW.

The company is currently advancing preparatory work in an orderly manner and plans to commence full construction after securing the “Permit for Nuclear Power Station Construction” from the National Nuclear Safety Administration.

No additional information requiring disclosure has been identified at this stage, and CGN Power will release further updates through The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited as needed.
