JD.com Launches "Double Billion Subsidy" Initiative, Forms "Super Replacement Alliance" with Over 100 Brands

Deep News04-02

JD.com has officially rolled out a "Double Billion Subsidy" program for home appliances and furnishings, collaborating with more than 100 brands including Haier and Midea. The initiative involves a joint investment of 10 billion yuan in special subsidies over the next year to lower the threshold for consumers upgrading their products. Additionally, JD.com will leverage its supply chain advantages through large-scale bulk purchasing to help partner brands reduce costs and improve efficiency.

The "Double Billion Subsidy" program covers over 200 sub-categories of home appliances and building materials, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, toilets, and mattresses, addressing a wide range of household renewal needs. Under this subsidy mechanism, consumers using JD.com's trade-in service for home appliances and furnishings can receive an additional subsidy of up to 10% on top of national subsidies.

For partner brands, JD.com will support cost reduction and efficiency improvement through bulk procurement models, boosting industry confidence. A dedicated activity zone within the platform will be set up to concentrate sales momentum. The initiative also includes targeted traffic support and omnichannel resource allocation to help brands effectively reach users with renewal needs and stimulate new consumption momentum in the home appliance and furnishings sector.

With the official launch of the "Double Billion Subsidy" program, JD.com has established the "Super Replacement Alliance" with over 100 brands. The alliance will introduce comprehensive upgrades across four dimensions: standard setting, service capabilities, subsidies and benefits, and category collaboration. Through resource integration and mechanism innovation, alliance members will continuously optimize the service experience, reducing consumer renewal costs while enhancing the convenience of the renewal process, ultimately providing a cost-effective and hassle-free upgrade experience.
