Shanghai Pharma Subsidiary's Ophthalmic Formula Cleared for Clinical Trials

An announcement has been issued by Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co.,Ltd. (SH: 601607) regarding a key development for one of its research projects.

The company's subsidiary, Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine Co., Ltd., has received a Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice from the National Medical Products Administration for its new formulation, Qingrun Yangmu Granules.

This granule formulation was developed based on the Qingrun Yangmu Oral Liquid, a hospital preparation from the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with modifications made to its preparation process and dosage form.

The research and development for this project was a collaborative effort involving the institute and the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, among other entities, with the core intellectual property rights held by the project team.

The planned clinical trials for this drug are intended to investigate its use in the treatment of dry eye disease.
