On November 4, a financial frontline report stated that Bank Of Beijing Co., Ltd. (ASX: 601169) held its 2026 third-quarter earnings briefing today.

Bank of Beijing President Dai Wei stated that in the first three quarters of 2026, the bank adhered to bottom-line thinking, coordinated business development with risk prevention and control, continued to deepen the construction of a comprehensive risk management system, and tightened full-cycle credit management, keeping asset quality stable.

As of the end of the third quarter, the group's non-performing loan ratio stood at 1.29%, flat compared with the beginning of the year, while the provision coverage ratio reached 200.59%, up 0.38 percentage points from the beginning of the year, reflecting enhanced risk compensation capacity.

He pointed out that looking at the full year, the external economic and financial environment remains uncertain, and the banking sector faces unabated credit risk pressure.

The main priority directions for comprehensive risk management going forward include: first, deepening the application effectiveness of quantitative risk appetite transmission. On the basis of the established all-dimensional transmission chain, the focus will be on strengthening dynamic monitoring and closed-loop management of risk appetite. Quantitative indicators will be deeply embedded into the daily business monitoring of operating units, and a normalized early-warning trigger and correction mechanism will be established to ensure that risk appetite not only lands rigidly but also precisely guides timely adjustment and optimization of frontline business.

Second, strengthening integrated group-wide risk management. The bank will advance the construction of a group-wide credit management project, build an enterprise-wide risk management platform, further enhance the breadth and depth of risk monitoring and reporting, promote the sharing of consolidated risk information, and effectively improve the quality and efficiency of the group's comprehensive risk management.

Third, continuously strengthening full-caliber asset quality control. Anchoring to the industrial development direction of the national "15th Five-Year Plan," the bank will focus on key areas such as the "five major articles," and continue to optimize the industrial structure; focus on key areas, keep a close eye on major risk segments, and strictly control the emergence of large new non-performing loans; comprehensively use multiple disposal methods to continuously increase the intensity of non-performing asset disposal; and deepen digital risk control empowerment, relying on an intelligent monitoring system to achieve early risk identification, early warning, early exposure, and early disposal.
