Airbnb, Inc. Announces New Asia Leadership Appointment

On September 15, Airbnb, Inc. declared that Kong Zhiqiu has been appointed as the new head of its Asia operations.

Having dedicated over a decade to Airbnb, Inc., Kong Zhiqiu has held various managerial roles across product innovation, business expansion, and corporate strategy, boasting substantial expertise in business management and a sharp strategic vision.

Previously serving as the head of Airbnb, Inc.'s China operations, Kong Zhiqiu drove the successful execution of localization strategies, leading his team to achieve remarkable growth in outbound travel demand and fostering the long-term, stable development of the business in China.

In his new role, he will apply the extensive experience gained in the Chinese market to other markets across Asia. As the head of Asia operations, Kong Zhiqiu will oversee Airbnb, Inc.'s business activities in key markets including China, Japan, South Korea, India, and Southeast Asia.
