Liquor Price Report for July 8th: Guojiao 1573 and Feitian Moutai Lead Gains as Overall Price Index Sees Slight Rebound from Low

Deep News07-08

The latest data collected over the past 24 hours indicates a modest overall rebound in the average terminal retail prices for major Chinese baijiu products on July 8th. If one bottle of each major product were bundled for sale, the total price today would be 9,892 yuan, an increase of 10 yuan from yesterday, ending the previous two-day consecutive decline. With the exception of Qinghua Lang, all other varieties saw gains or remained flat. Across the board, high and low-priced varieties coexist, and the divergence in price movements among core products remains significant. Terminal trading sentiment has shown marginal improvement, though the overall pattern of low-level price volatility has not yet reversed.

Of the 11 major baijiu products, six rose, one fell, and four remained unchanged, with gainers holding the advantage. On the upside, Guojiao 1573 led the gains, rising 5 yuan per bottle, matching its highest price in nearly a month. Feitian Moutai rose 4 yuan per bottle, showing a mild recovery from the lowest level since April 23rd of this year reached yesterday. Yanghe Mengzhilan M6+ increased by 2 yuan per bottle, rising to the second-highest level in nearly a month. Wuliangye 1618, Gujing Gong Jiu Gu 20, and Crystal Jiannanchun each saw small gains of 1 yuan per bottle, with Crystal Jiannanchun recovering slightly from its lowest level in nearly a month. On the downside, Qinghua Lang was the sole decliner, falling 4 yuan per bottle. The prices for Premium Moutai, Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation, Qinghua Fen 20, and Xijiao Junpin remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Notably, Wuliangye Pu Wu Eighth Generation remains at its lowest level since the inception of the price tracking data in November of last year, while Qinghua Fen 20 once again matches its highest level in nearly a month.

The daily data is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide, including but not limited to designated distributors, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw data consists of actual, transacted terminal retail prices from these points over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of well-known baijiu. Since the official i-Moutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle around New Year's Day (adjusted up to 1,539 yuan on March 31st) and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle on January 9th (adjusted up to 2,359 yuan on May 16th), the gravitational influence of this new sales channel on the average terminal retail prices of these two products has gradually become apparent. The daily published prices follow a calculation rule weighted by actual transaction volumes, and the verifiable prices from this channel have been incorporated into the calculations for these two products' terminal retail averages.

In other important industry news, Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd. announced yesterday that its board of directors had passed relevant proposals and elected Lin Feng as Vice Chairman of the company, with a term consistent with the current board. Lin Feng currently serves as Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager of Luzhou Laojiao Co., Ltd.. This additional appointment creates a dual-role structure of "General Manager + Vice Chairman." Relevant analysis suggests this arrangement may signal three things: first, it could help improve the efficiency of alignment between management operations and the board's strategic decision-making; second, against the backdrop of industry adjustments and the company's strategy of controlling supply and supporting prices, it may strengthen Lin Feng's managerial authority in driving internal reforms, channel consolidation, and price control; third, it could reflect a systematic approach by Luzhou Laojiao towards management team development and the preparation of core leadership for the next phase.
