Fertilizer Production at Full Capacity with Technology Ensuring Spring Farming Preparations

Deep News06:20

Amid challenges such as large temperature fluctuations between day and night during spring, CNOOC Huahe Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., the largest producer of large-grain urea in Northeast China, has achieved full-capacity fertilizer production and smooth transportation through technological innovation and meticulous management. This establishes a robust "smart barrier" for fertilizer supply during the spring planting season.

Currently, a critical period for fertilizer use in spring farming, the temperature difference in Hegang has reached 15 degrees Celsius. Despite the chilly conditions, CNOOC Huahe Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. continues to operate at full production capacity. This is made possible by special insulating "coats" for key instruments and pipelines, as well as the company's self-developed "Intelligent Instrument Heat Tracing Monitoring" system. The system continuously scans temperatures at 180 critical points across the plant, refreshing data every minute. If an abnormal temperature is detected, the alarm response time is under three seconds, and the system can even predict risks up to two days in advance, eliminating potential hazards before they escalate.

In the company's central control room, Yu Shaofeng, Instrument Technology Supervisor of the Equipment Maintenance Department, pointed to the dense curves on the intelligent monitoring system representing temperatures of various devices, explaining, "Previously, we had to conduct on-site inspections. Now, daily scheduled online inspections suffice. For example, if this green curve shows a declining trend during a historical data review, we immediately dispatch personnel to investigate on-site, addressing issues proactively."

Technological support extends beyond production to storage and distribution. The newly implemented drone-based intelligent inventory system enables rapid and accurate assessment of raw material stockpiles, preventing resource waste caused by delayed information. At loading sites, the intelligent dispatch system has increased fertilizer handling efficiency by 30%. Through meticulous management, the company has laid a solid foundation for spring farming fertilizer supply.

Li Zhenquan, General Manager of the Storage and Logistics Department at CNOOC Huahe Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., stated, "Since October of last year, products have been delivered to distributors across regions. To date, over half of the annual output has been dispatched. We utilize both railway and road transport simultaneously to ensure timely delivery to farmlands."

From smart monitoring to intelligent logistics, CNOOC Huahe Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. is painting a vivid picture of "technology safeguarding spring farming and stabilizing production to ensure food security" on the fertile black soil. Zhao Yan, Deputy General Manager of the Production Management Department, emphasized, "Huahe Company will further strengthen its commitment, refine operational measures, and ensure stable fertilizer supply and pricing for the spring planting season. We are dedicated to implementing the spirit of the Central Government’s No. 1 Document, contributing to national food security and comprehensive rural revitalization."
