On November 6, the Shanghai Composite Index reclaimed the 4,000-point level after testing its monthly moving average. The technology sector led the rally, with investor enthusiasm reignited for humanoid robot concept stocks.

In afternoon trading, Zhejiang Founder Motor (002196) saw a sudden influx of large orders, propelling its stock price up 8.82% in just 24 seconds, nearly hitting the daily limit. Other humanoid robot-related stocks, including Han's Laser, Bojie Precision, Zhejiang Xiantong, Wuzhou Special Spring, and Leader Harmonious Drive Systems, also showed strong activity.

The surge followed the debut of XPeng’s next-generation humanoid robot, IRON, at its seventh annual Tech Day. The robot’s remarkably smooth, human-like movements sparked widespread discussion online.

Zhejiang Founder Motor has been actively expanding into robotics joint systems and electric aircraft drive solutions. In 2023, it established a subsidiary, Zhejiang Founder Robotics Joint Technology Co., dedicated to developing robotic joints and motors.

During recent investor meetings, the company disclosed progress in its humanoid robotics business, confirming the development of several joint and motor prototypes, some of which are already undergoing customer testing. By mid-May 2025, it had filed 26 patents in the field.

However, Zhejiang Founder Motor cautioned investors that its robotics products remain in the R&D and factory certification phase, with only small-batch prototype deliveries. The business is not expected to significantly impact 2025 earnings.

Post-market, attempts to reach the company’s investor relations team for further details were unsuccessful, as calls to its headquarters repeatedly encountered busy signals.

For the first three quarters of 2025, Zhejiang Founder Motor reported revenue of 2.013 billion yuan, up 10.44% year-on-year, with net profit attributable to shareholders at 14 million yuan, reversing prior losses.
