According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the "Agricultural Products Wholesale Price 200 Index" stood at 111.58 on October 23, down 0.15 points from yesterday, while the "Basket of Commodities" Product Wholesale Price Index came in at 111.14, down 0.18 points from yesterday.
As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural product wholesale markets was 15.82 yuan per kilogram, up 0.6% from yesterday; beef was 72.60 yuan per kilogram, unchanged from yesterday; mutton was 67.74 yuan per kilogram, up 1.1% from yesterday; eggs were 9.44 yuan per kilogram, up 0.5% from yesterday; and dressed chicken was 16.97 yuan per kilogram, up 0.3% from yesterday.
The average price of 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 4.17 yuan per kilogram, unchanged from yesterday; the average price of 6 key monitored fruit varieties was 6.64 yuan per kilogram, down 0.3% from yesterday.
Crucian carp was 19.43 yuan per kilogram, down 0.6% from yesterday; carp was 13.89 yuan per kilogram, unchanged from yesterday; silver carp was 10.25 yuan per kilogram, down 0.9% from yesterday; and large hairtail was 41.81 yuan per kilogram, unchanged from yesterday.
Today, among the 46 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products at wholesale markets under key monitoring nationwide, the top five price gainers compared with yesterday were cabbage, onion, pineapple, duck pear and oyster mushroom, with increases of 6.4%, 5.3%, 2.6%, 1.5% and 1.4% respectively; the top five price decliners were watermelon, Kyoho grape, lettuce, spinach and zucchini, with decreases of 4.4%, 2.6%, 1.5%, 1.4% and 1.3% respectively.
