The three major A-share indices showed divergent trends during the morning session. The Shanghai Composite Index edged down slightly by 0.04%, while the Shenzhen Component Index gained nearly 1%. The ChiNext Index outperformed, rising over 2% by midday, with the ChiNext 50 Index climbing 2.45% and the STAR Composite Index advancing 1.22%.

The Hong Kong market also presented a mixed picture. The Hang Seng Tech Index surged 2.75% by midday. The broader Hang Seng Index rose nearly 1%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index increased by 1.42%. In contrast, the Hang Seng Biotechnology Index fell 1.4%. CPO Concept Stocks Rebound Strongly
The communication equipment sector led the market higher, fueled by a powerful rebound in CPO concept stocks, prompting optimistic commentary from market observers.
Individual stocks within the theme saw substantial gains. Zhongji Innolight rose over 6%, while Eoptolink Technology surged more than 9%. TFC Optical Communication advanced over 4%. Dongshan Precision Manufacturing jumped 9%, and Yuanjie Semiconductor Technology soared over 14%. Photonware Technology gained more than 13%. Companies including Changfei Optical Fiber, Yihua Connector, and Wasion Holdings surged to the daily limit-up.
The rally follows recent news that China Telecom announced the initiation of a centralized procurement project for various optical cable products. This marks the first large-scale optical cable procurement project at the operator group level this year, drawing significant market attention.
AI PC Concept Stocks Maintain Momentum
The consumer electronics sector also performed well, with AI PC concept stocks collectively strengthening.
Leishen Technology surged another 25%, while Yingli Industrial rose over 13%. Zhongjing Electronics and Chunqiu Electronics hit the daily limit-up. Avary Holding gained over 7%, and Huaqin Technology advanced more than 6%.
This strength follows recent comments from NVIDIA's CEO, who stated that starting this autumn, major PC brands like Dell and Lenovo will begin launching laptops and desktops equipped with the new RTX Spark super chip. This product, developed jointly by NVIDIA and MediaTek, integrates a processor and graphics card and can run the Arm-based version of Microsoft Windows.
*ST Wintek Records Eighth Limit-Up
Shares of *ST Wintek hit the daily limit-up again this morning, marking its eighth limit-up in the past nine trading sessions. By midday, the stock was trading at 22.79 yuan per share, bringing its market capitalization to approximately 28.4 billion yuan.
The company recently issued a statement noting that its stock price had experienced abnormal volatility, with cumulative deviations exceeding 12% over three consecutive trading days. The company's self-inspection revealed that its control over Nexperia is temporarily restricted.
