Shares of INSILICO (03696) climbed more than 4% during trading before settling at a 3% gain to 47.38 Hong Kong dollars, with a turnover of 259 million Hong Kong dollars.

In a recent announcement from the company's official WeChat account, INSILICO revealed that it has entered into a research partnership with THPharm, a company focused on developing treatments for metabolic diseases. The collaboration leverages biology-based artificial intelligence to construct a "reverse analysis" strategy for drug development, starting from clear efficacy data obtained in preclinical stages. This approach aims to reverse-engineer indications, mechanisms of action, and biomarker systems with development potential, further expanding the application boundaries of existing drug candidate pipelines.

Utilizing INSILICO's core biology AI engine, PandaOmics, the two parties have established a technical foundation for data integration and mechanism analysis. The research team has already integrated 16 public datasets, including 269 samples, to conduct gene expression analysis and meta-analysis around THP-001, THPharm's core candidate drug currently in global Phase III clinical trials for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and primary hypertension. Upon completing the pilot project for THP-001 and establishing relevant analysis workflows, the parties plan to extend this method to further application within THPharm's pipeline for additional metabolic disease areas.
