Liquor Price Index March 26th Update: Wuliangye 1618 Holds Steady

Deep News03-26

Data collected over the past 24 hours by the "Liquor Price Index" shows that the average terminal retail prices for major Chinese baijiu products exhibited a mixed and rotating trend on March 26th. If one bottle of each major product were bundled for sale, the total price today would be 9,904 yuan, a decrease of 7 yuan from the previous day, falling to a six-day low. The overall price center for baijiu experienced a slight decline, indicating the market is continuing a phase of consolidation.

Among the 11 major products tracked, five saw price increases, four decreased, and two remained flat. For the gainers, Luzhou Laojiao 1573 led the advance, rising by 4 yuan per bottle compared to the previous day, demonstrating relatively stable performance post-holiday. Premium Moutai increased by 2 yuan per bottle. Yanghe's Dream Blue M6+, Xijiu's Junpin, and Qinghualang each saw modest gains of 1 yuan per bottle. On the downside, Gujing Gongjiu Gu 20 led the declines, dropping 8 yuan per bottle to hit a near one-month low. Feitian Moutai decreased by 4 yuan per bottle. Wuliangye Yibin Co.,Ltd. Pu Wu Eighth Generation fell by 3 yuan per bottle. Qinghua Fen 20 saw a slight reduction of 1 yuan per bottle. The prices for Wuliangye 1618 and Crystal Jiannanchun remained unchanged from the previous day, with the latter holding steady for three consecutive days.

The daily data for the "Liquor Price Index" is sourced from approximately 200 collection points reasonably distributed across major regions nationwide. These points include, but are not limited to, distributors appointed by distilleries, independent distributors, e-commerce platforms, and retail outlets. The raw sample data consists of the actual transaction-based terminal retail prices processed at each point over the past 24 hours, aiming to provide objective, scientific, and fully traceable data on the market prices of renowned baijiu. Since the official i-Moutai platform began selling Feitian Moutai at 1,499 yuan per bottle and Premium Moutai at 2,299 yuan per bottle, the gravitational pull of this new sales channel on the average terminal retail prices of these two products has gradually become apparent. The daily prices published in the "Liquor Price Index" are calculated using a rule that weights actual transaction volumes, and quantifiable prices from this channel have been incorporated into the terminal retail price calculations for these two products.

In other significant baijiu industry news, according to JD.com data statistics, the Moutai Jiangxiangjiu flagship store on the JD.com platform achieved a 650% year-on-year increase in sales in 2025, gained 450,000 new followers for the year, and achieved a core promotion ROI exceeding 13.5. This growth stemmed from the store's systematic approach to product selection, promotion, and operations, tailored to the characteristics of high-end liquor consumption. In product selection, core items were precisely positioned for different consumption scenarios, and JD's big data was leveraged to identify potential bestsellers, with all goods warehoused and tagged to guarantee authenticity and delivery timeliness. In promotion, efforts were focused on core products with an advertising spend ratio controlled at 5% and an average cost-per-click of just 0.56 yuan, enabling efficient reach. Operationally, a triple guarantee of "direct supply from the distillery, authenticity assurance, and JD Logistics" strengthened consumer trust, while strategies like pre-paid membership locks, loyalty points, and prize draws for new customers helped form a consumption loop. The highlights of this performance include achieving high growth on a large base, maintaining high conversion rates despite high average order values, quality growth in a targeted user base, systematic operational capabilities, and a breakthrough performance during an industry adjustment period.
