Special Topic: 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference & the Second Green Industry and Sustainable Consumption Expo. The 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference was held from October 20 to 22 at the Huangpu Expo Park in Shanghai.

Wang Yang, Assistant to the President of Dongpeng Holdings and General Manager of Dongpeng New Materials, attended and delivered a speech, sharing views on topics including green building material certification, AI technology application, and economic breakthroughs.

Wang Yang introduced that Dongpeng New Materials has obtained China's three-star green building material certification, and has also secured multiple international environmental certifications such as US UL GREENGUARD, European CE, and Canada RESET, ranking first globally in the same category.

He stated that eco-friendly stone materials hold common value in the global green and low-carbon building materials sector, but since solid waste composition and resource distribution differ across countries, technical formulas and parameters need to be adjusted according to local conditions.

Regarding digital empowerment, Wang Yang revealed that in the second half of this year, the company introduced industry-specific AI tools, feeding historical experimental data and formulas to AI for learning, and training them in combination with target market demands and industry standards.

An experiment that originally required about six months of verification saw the team obtain four recommended formulas in less than two weeks after applying AI tools, one of which far exceeded expected results during production line debugging.

He believes that AI holds significant value for technological improvement and standard upgrading in traditional industries, and that China is the world's best experimental ground for AI digital computing power and large-scale manufacturing application.

Addressing economic viability, Wang Yang stated that natural stone is a scarce resource, with some well-known varieties nearing depletion, while AI technology can achieve high-similarity substitution for premium natural stone with better cost efficiency and greater stability.

Taking Shenzhen as an example, he pointed out that the city has taken the lead in requiring that natural stone no longer be used in public building projects, encouraging the application of recycled materials and artificial stone, bringing policy empowerment to the industry.

Dongpeng New Materials benchmarks against premium natural stone, and its products have entered airports, schools, hospitals, and other scenarios, winning through quality rather than price, with the new materials business continuing to develop positively in high-end projects.
