Two industrial parks in Beijing's Daxing District—the Daxing International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone and Jinyu High-Tech Industrial Park—have officially received the prestigious "Zhongguancun" designation from the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee. They have been renamed as "Zhongguancun (Daxing) International Hydrogen Energy Demonstration Zone" and "Zhongguancun (Daxing) Intelligent Equipment Industrial Park," respectively.
This brings the total number of Daxing parks with the "Zhongguancun" designation to five, ranking second among all sub-parks in Beijing. The "Zhongguancun" brand, a benchmark for China's innovation-driven development, follows strict recognition criteria, requiring parks to align with the demonstration zone's development plan, feature distinctive industrial characteristics, and offer comprehensive service functions.
The designation serves as recognition of the parks' achievements and will enhance their visibility and influence, boosting their capabilities in investment attraction, operations management, and overall performance. The five designated parks in Daxing are integrated into the district's "6+5+3" modern industrial system, covering key sectors such as biopharmaceuticals, hydrogen energy, and new materials. Together, they form a cluster of specialized parks with clear positioning, complementary advantages, and coordinated development.
Moving forward, Daxing will continue to optimize its innovation ecosystem, strengthen the cultivation of specialized parks, and encourage more high-quality parks to join the "Zhongguancun" brand system.
