Sunny Optical Technology (Group) Company Limited (02382) announced its shipment figures for December 2025. Mobile phone lens shipments reached 95.592 million units, representing a decrease of 20% month-on-month and an 8.9% decline year-on-year. Shipments for vehicle-mounted lenses were 7.477 million units, showing a significant month-on-month decrease of 40.8% but a robust year-on-year increase of 17.7%. Mobile phone camera module shipments totaled 37.744 million units, declining by 9% compared to the previous month and falling 29.3% compared to the same period last year. The company stated that the 20.0% month-on-month decrease in mobile phone lens shipments was primarily due to customer inventory control measures at year-end. The 17.7% year-on-year increase in vehicle-mounted lens shipments was mainly attributed to improved demand from the client side; the substantial 40.8% month-on-month drop was largely influenced by the Christmas holiday period affecting client operations. The 29.3% year-on-year decrease in mobile phone camera module shipments was principally because the high base from the same period last year resulted from accommodating specific customer pickup requirements.
