Deep News12-15

On December 13, the second Zhongguancun Street Family Poetry Competition, themed "Inheriting Classics, Harmonizing Homes," concluded under the guidance of Haidian District Women's Federation and organized by Zhongguancun Street Women's Federation.

The competition, centered on "preserving traditional culture and deepening family education," garnered enthusiastic participation from local residents. Families competed as units, blending classical Chinese poetry with family values to extend cultural heritage from schools to households, fostering intergenerational cultural transmission and emotional bonds.

During the semifinals, 30 qualifying families were divided into six age-based groups. Participants showcased their mastery of poetry through challenges like reconstructing scrambled verses, identifying incorrect characters, rapid-fire answering with contextual hints, and relay-style recitations in the final round. The "Flying Flowers" segment particularly stood out, with contestants effortlessly exchanging elegant verses to audience acclaim.

As a flagship cultural event, the competition reinforced its core mission of "cultivating virtue through poetry and enriching families with literature." It provided a platform for residents to display their talents, strengthened family values and cohesion, and enriched Zhongguancun Street’s "Child-Friendly Community" initiative with profound cultural significance.
