FHFA Chief Predicts High Probability of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Going Public This Year

The Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), Bill Pulte, stated in an interview with Fox Business that it is "highly likely" Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac will go public this year. “I believe it is very probable. The odds are greater than not, but it depends on the President,” he remarked. Pulte reaffirmed that the two entities are valued between $500 billion and $700 billion.
