On October 29, Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bear 3x Shares rose 8.47% in Pre-Market Trading, trading at $43.19, with turnover of $18.064 million.

The move followed fresh semiconductor-sector pressure after Samsung Electronics shares fell as much as 6.6% when its chip division profit missed elevated market expectations and the company postponed details of a new shareholder return plan until late January.

Samsung reported semiconductor operating profit of KRW 10.65 trillion for the three months through September, up about 15-fold year over year but below the KRW 10.85 trillion analyst consensus. At the same time, Samsung said chip investment would be expanded for new fabs and other infrastructure to meet strong AI and high-performance computing demand and support longer-term capacity preparation, reinforcing focus on sector capital intensity and near-term earnings sensitivity.

The fund seeks 3x daily inverse exposure to an index tracking 30 of the largest U.S.-listed semiconductor companies and is non-diversified.
