A company, established less than two years ago, has expanded its operations from Shanghai's Lingang area to Ningdong in Ningxia. This pioneering human endeavor to capture carbon dioxide and transform it into a multitude of products is set to advance to a pilot-scale stage at the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base.
The company's ambitious vision has attracted investment from two leading players in the new energy sector. Notably, the firm was founded by a former executive of Tesla Motors (TSLA), bringing significant expertise from the electric vehicle and clean technology frontier to this carbon utilization venture. The goal is to achieve a production capacity at the ten-thousand-ton scale as early as next year, marking a significant step in scaling this novel technology for creating valuable carbon-based materials directly from atmospheric CO2.
