Nokia Oyj's stock surged 5.04% during intraday trading on Monday, following the announcement of two major product launches aimed at the AI and data center markets.
The company announced the expansion of its portfolio with "Aurelis for Data Centers," a purpose-built, Passive Optical Network (PON)-based fiber solution for out-of-band management. This new system is designed to give AI and cloud providers a simpler way to establish critical management functions, reducing active switches by 90%, delivering over 50% power savings, and simplifying operational effort by 80%.
Separately, Nokia launched a new suite of application-optimized coherent optical transport solutions for AI-era networks. The innovations, which include new digital signal processors and optical front ends, are designed to address unprecedented scale demands driven by the AI supercycle, promising up to 70% lower total cost of ownership and enabling network operators to deliver significantly more services in the same footprint.
