Deep News04-23

The Ministry of Commerce announced at a press conference on the afternoon of April 23 that the 2026 "China Cuisine Collection" event will officially commence on April 28 in Yinchuan, Ningxia. This year's theme is "Enjoy Chinese Cuisine, Create a Better Life," and more than 140 special catering events aimed at boosting consumption will be held throughout the year. The event focuses on four main areas: First, cultivating distinctive catering brands by organizing themed consumption promotion activities and promoting local specialty foods and branded enterprises. E-commerce platforms will set up special zones for themed promotions and catering brands, and will promote initiatives such as smaller portion sizes. Second, innovating diverse consumption scenarios by launching themed food tourism routes featuring intangible cultural heritage cuisines, and developing new formats such as "catering plus" performances, anime, films, camping, and tourist trains to create immersive consumption experiences. Third, promoting China's excellent culinary culture through activities like Chinese food tasting, skill demonstrations, and brand promotion events, helping Chinese cuisine go global and spread its cultural influence. Fourth, facilitating precise connections between agriculture and catering by creating integrated consumption scenes where visitors can tour, dine, and experience, and organizing matchmaking events and tasting negotiations to help catering enterprises establish stable supply relationships with quality ingredient producers.
