INSPUR DIGI ENT (00596) surged 5.20% during intraday trading on Friday, following the announcement that its subsidiary has been selected for a significant national artificial intelligence initiative.

The company's wholly-owned subsidiary, Inspur Genersoft Co., Ltd., has been selected among the first batch of national-level pilot units for the Agent Interconnection Protocol (AIP). This program is part of the "Implementation Guidance on the Standardized Application and Innovative Development of Intelligent Agents," jointly promoted by major Chinese government agencies including the Cyberspace Administration of China, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

According to the company's announcement, this selection recognizes the group's leadership in enterprise-level agent interconnection technologies, standardization and implementation capabilities, and depth of industry application. The Board expects participation in this national pilot program to enhance the company's competitiveness in enterprise AI solutions and strengthen its role in national intelligent-body standard-setting, supporting wider commercialisation of AI-driven applications across sectors such as construction, manufacturing, healthcare, energy and public services.
