Shares of MABWELL-B (ASX: 02493) have risen by more than 3%. At the time of writing, the stock is up 2.72% to HK$26.48, with a turnover of HK$6.48 million.
The increase follows news of a strategic partnership. The company announced that its majority-owned subsidiary, MABWELL Vision, has entered into a strategic collaboration with VivaVision Biotech, a leading domestic developer of small-molecule ophthalmic drugs.
The collaboration will be comprehensive and in-depth, focusing on addressing unmet clinical needs in two core areas: ocular inflammation and ocular immunology.
MABWELL-B's portfolio includes several retinal products, such as the novel anti-VEGF monoclonal antibody 9MW0211, a biosimilar of adalimumab, and a biosimilar of aflibercept. Its pipeline also covers mature drugs for ocular immunology, retinal diseases, dry eye, and ocular surface conditions.
VivaVision Biotech is a clinical-stage innovative drug company specializing in ophthalmology. It has established a unique R&D platform for ophthalmic innovation, with several self-developed novel drug candidates already in clinical stages.
