On December 12, the "Inner Mongolia-Chongqing Agricultural and Livestock Product Processing Industry Investment Promotion Symposium" was held in Chongqing, jointly organized by the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Chongqing Municipal Agricultural and Rural Affairs Committee, and the Shanghai Office of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The event saw on-site contract signings totaling 670 million yuan.
The symposium invited representatives from 32 enterprises and business associations, including the Chongqing Agricultural Products Processing Association, the Chongqing Agricultural Industrialization Association, and the Chongqing Hotpot Association. Four Inner Mongolian enterprises, such as the Inner Mongolia Agricultural and Livestock Products Processing Association and the Bayannur City Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, presented on the current status and advantages of the agricultural and livestock product processing industry.
Following multiple rounds of prior negotiations, companies from Inner Mongolia and Chongqing held an on-site signing ceremony for cooperative projects in agricultural product processing. During the event, the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Inner Mongolia also organized a business delegation to visit seven Chongqing-based enterprises for in-depth discussions on potential collaborations.
Hai Shan, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry of Inner Mongolia, stated that Chongqing has successfully developed the "Bawang Yuzhen" regional public brand in recent years, significantly boosting the output value of its agricultural product processing industry. Leveraging the China-Europe Railway Express and the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, Chongqing has expanded its agricultural and livestock products to over 30 countries and regions globally. These achievements provide valuable insights for Inner Mongolia's agricultural and livestock industry transformation and upgrading.
