Prudential plc to divest up to 2% of ICICI Prudential Asset Management

Prudential plc announced on Aug, 26 2026 that its subsidiary Prudential Corporation Holdings Limited intends to sell up to a 2.0 per cent stake in ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Limited through an open-market transaction scheduled for Aug, 27 2026.

The planned sale aims to assist ICICI Prudential Asset Management in achieving India’s regulatory requirement for a minimum 15 per cent public float within five years of its Dec, 19 2025 initial public offering.

After the transaction, Prudential Corporation Holdings Limited will retain a 32.6 per cent holding in the asset manager, and its governance rights will remain unchanged.
