CK Infrastructure Holdings Limited (CKI) has appointed Mr Basilio Scarsella as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 17 July 2026, according to a board announcement released on 17 July 2026.
Mr Scarsella, aged 70, has led UK Power Networks Holdings Ltd as Chief Executive Officer since its establishment in late 2010 and previously held chief executive roles at Northern Gas Networks Ltd (2005–2010) and SA Power Networks (1998–2005). He holds a degree in Economics, an honorary Doctor of Science, and is a Certified Practising Accountant. From 2014 to 2017 he served as Chairman of the UK Energy Networks Association.
Under CKI’s Bye-laws, Mr Scarsella will serve until the next annual general meeting, where he will be eligible for re-election; thereafter his directorship remains subject to the company’s rotation and re-election provisions. His annual director’s fee is set at HK$0.10 million, subject to board review and pro-rata adjustment for part-year service.
The company confirmed that Mr Scarsella: • has no board positions in other listed companies over the past three years; • maintains no relationships with existing directors, senior management, substantial or controlling shareholders; and • holds no shares in CKI under Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
No further matters require shareholder attention under Listing Rule 13.51(2).
As of the announcement date, the CKI board comprises nine Executive Directors, ten Non-Executive Directors (including six independent), and two Alternate Directors.
