UK-based independent oil and gas producer EnQuest has entered into a production sharing contract for the Cendramas block offshore Malaysia, marking its entry into the Southeast Asian market. The agreement was awarded by Petronas through its subsidiary, Malaysia Petroleum Management. EnQuest will hold a 25% participating interest via its affiliate, EnQuest Petroleum Production Malaysia. Medco Asia Pacific will serve as the operator of the block with a 50% interest, while DIALOG Resources will hold the remaining 25% stake. Under the terms of the joint operating agreement and production sharing contract, these participating interests will take effect from September 23, 2026. The transaction signifies an expansion of EnQuest's geographical footprint as the London-listed company seeks to broaden its upstream asset portfolio beyond its existing core regions.
