March 31: National Average Pork Price in Wholesale Markets Drops to 15.31 Yuan per Kilogram

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on March 31, the "200 Index of Agricultural Product Wholesale Prices" stood at 119.53, down 0.20 points from the previous day. The wholesale price index for "Basket of Goods" products was 120.70, a decrease of 0.22 points from yesterday. As of 14:00 today, the national average pork price in wholesale markets was 15.31 yuan per kilogram, down 1.0% from yesterday. Beef was priced at 66.39 yuan per kilogram, unchanged from the previous day, while lamb cost 64.30 yuan per kilogram, up 0.2%. Eggs were priced at 7.80 yuan per kilogram, down 0.8%, and dressed chicken was 17.22 yuan per kilogram, falling 1.5%. The average price for 28 key monitored vegetables was 4.68 yuan per kilogram, a decline of 0.6%. The average price for 6 key monitored fruits was 7.70 yuan per kilogram, down 1.4%. Crucian carp was priced at 19.77 yuan per kilogram, down 0.5%; common carp cost 14.25 yuan per kilogram, falling 2.2%; silver carp was 10.61 yuan per kilogram, up 0.7%; and hairtail was 41.98 yuan per kilogram, down 0.1%. Among the 46 key monitored categories in domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets today, the top five items with the largest price increases compared to yesterday were lettuce, celery, cauliflower, white radish, and zucchini, with increases of 3.7%, 1.9%, 1.9%, 1.3%, and 0.9%, respectively. The top five items with the largest price decreases were pineapple, banana, oyster mushroom, common carp, and ginger, with declines of 3.7%, 2.5%, 2.4%, 2.2%, and 2.2%, respectively.
