Teva Pharmaceutical's stock surged 5.15% in pre-market trading after the company released second-quarter earnings that topped revenue forecasts and reaffirmed its full-year guidance.
The company reported quarterly revenue of $4.142 billion, surpassing the analyst consensus of $4.047 billion. Adjusted earnings per share, however, came in at just $0.02, missing the $0.25 estimate by a wide margin. Nevertheless, investors appeared to focus on the top-line strength and the company's outlook. Teva expects 2026 revenue to be in the range of $16.5 billion to $16.85 billion, with adjusted EPS between $1.91 and $2.11.
The positive reaction suggests that the market is rewarding the revenue beat and the maintained guidance, despite the considerable earnings miss, as the company continues to advance its pipeline and biosimilar portfolio.
