The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has selected Archer Aviation and Joby Aviation to participate in a pilot program that will allow early operations of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft in 26 states. The initiative aims to help develop standards for advanced air mobility.
