Guo Weiwei, Senior Vice President of Kingsoft and CEO of Seashell Studio, who also serves as the producer of the JX3 series, announced his resignation in a post, stating: "All good things must come to an end. Tomorrow is my final day at Seashell Studio." He also extended his thanks to Lei Jun, founder and chairman of Xiaomi Group, recalling, "I joined Seashell Studio under Kingsoft Games in 2004 after graduating, driven by my dream of the martial arts world. The two decades I spent working on JX3 are the most fulfilling years of my life. I am grateful to Lei Jun, Seashell Studio, and the board for giving me the opportunity to spread my wings."

In response, Lei Jun posted a message of blessing: "Thank you for your 22 years of dedication and hard work. Wishing you all the best, and hope we meet again!"

Public records indicate that Seashell Studio is a gaming subsidiary of Kingsoft, with Lei Jun having been deeply involved in its early establishment and growth. As early as December 2025, Seashell Studio issued an internal letter announcing that Guo Weiwei would step down as CEO due to personal career plans, though he would remain as chief producer. At that time, Zou Tao, CEO of KINGSOFT and chairman of Seashell Studio, also assumed the role of acting CEO, taking over full operational responsibilities.
