Ya'an Selected as One of Sichuan's First Regional Centers for Power Battery Recycling

Deep News07-08

The Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology has recently announced the first batch of regional centers for new energy vehicle power battery recycling and utilization in the province. A total of five regional centers were selected, with Ya'an City making the list. The designated lead unit for Ya'an is Tianquan Junengxin Technology Co., Ltd.

Previously, Sichuan issued documents outlining the establishment of regional centers for new energy vehicle power battery recycling and utilization. These centers are tasked with managing the recycling and utilization of power batteries within their respective regions, integrating multiple functions including the collection, storage, transportation, disassembly, testing, and comprehensive reuse of used power batteries. This initiative aims to help Sichuan gradually form a well-networked, orderly, and efficiently circular recycling system.

Ya'an's selection was based on key criteria such as the regional industrial foundation, the capacity of leading enterprises, the layout of the recycling network, and the construction of a traceability system. The application also adhered to ecological and environmental zoning control requirements. The lead unit is an enterprise with significant regional influence, strong comprehensive capabilities, and a notable driving effect.

In the next phase, Ya'an will strengthen guidance and support for enterprises, deepen cross-regional coordination and cooperation, and promote the sharing of industrial resources among upstream and downstream companies. The goal is to build a closed-loop industrial chain covering the entire lifecycle of power batteries, thereby fostering the healthy and orderly development of Sichuan's power battery recycling industry.
