On the evening of June 23rd, it was reported that Kuaishou's e-commerce division has introduced a new fast-delivery service named "Express Delivery" within the app's shopping mall, featuring a dedicated entry point.
This service differs from the mainstream instant retail model in the industry. Kuaishou's "Express Delivery" focuses exclusively on cross-regional parcel delivery products with two fulfillment options: next-day delivery and two-day delivery. It does not currently offer services like same-hour or same-day city delivery.
According to the report, Kuaishou E-commerce is implementing a two-tiered fulfillment system designed to serve all merchants on its platform. The strategy involves using delivery time labels ("next-day" and "two-day") to influence traffic allocation and employing a compensation constraint mechanism. This two-pronged approach aims to balance supply and demand, representing an attempt to move beyond the singular competitive logic of prolonged price wars that has characterized the live-streaming e-commerce sector.
