At the fourth China International Supply Chain Expo held today, Gree Electric Appliances, Inc. Of Zhuhai unveiled its comprehensive AIDC data center liquid cooling solution.
The launch was accompanied by the debut of its core new product, the "Ice Cube" magnetic levitation integrated CDU, presenting a novel approach for the green transformation of data centers in the AI computing era.
Key Features of the New System
According to technical experts, this solution represents a fully self-developed system, from core components to the overall architecture.
Building on over a decade of expertise in magnetic levitation technology, Gree has broken the long-standing technological monopoly held by foreign brands in the high-end cooling sector.
The system incorporates dynamic load-coordinated temperature control technology, which can predict computing power fluctuations and adjust cooling capacity in advance to precisely meet the pulsed heat dissipation demands of high-density computing.
Significant Energy Efficiency Improvements
Energy efficiency is a central highlight of this new solution.
The entire system is equipped with a self-developed magnetic levitation compressor, achieving a motor efficiency of 98.3% and a mechanical cooling COP of 10.9.
Combined with a dual-energy drive architecture that prioritizes natural cooling, the solution can reduce a data center's Power Usage Effectiveness to as low as 1.1.
This figure is significantly better than the average PUE of 1.5 for domestic data centers and cuts cooling-related energy consumption by half compared to traditional methods.
Operational and Deployment Advantages
Furthermore, the solution adopts a factory-preassembled modular delivery model, which can shorten the overall construction cycle by 70%.
Multiple redundancy designs are implemented to ensure 365-day uninterrupted and stable operation of the data center facilities.
Current Implementation Status
This liquid cooling solution is already being deployed at several national supercomputing centers and key computing hubs across China.
It is actively driving the upgrade of computing infrastructure towards greater efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and enhanced technological self-reliance.
