At the 2026 interim results conference held on August 28, CPIC's Group President Zhao Yonggang highlighted the growing complexity, severity, and long-term nature of changes in the international environment during the first half of the year, while noting the continued strengthening of domestic economic resilience.

Looking ahead, Zhao pointed to the nation's 15th Five-Year Plan, which emphasizes accelerating technological innovation, fostering new quality productive forces, and increasing support for social security and public health initiatives. These developments, he said, are creating fresh opportunities for the insurance industry.

Zhao stressed that CPIC will aim to build itself into a first-class insurance financial services group with market leadership and international competitiveness, comprehensively enhancing its overall strength to consistently create value for shareholders, customers, employees, and society.

On the life insurance front, Zhao stated that the company will continue to adhere to a value-driven approach, further improve the quality of its agent workforce, and consolidate the competitiveness of bancassurance single-premium business, striving for steady growth in new business value for the full year.

In the property and casualty insurance segment, the company will prioritize profitability, continuously strengthen underwriting quality control, refine mechanisms for responding to major catastrophes, and enhance risk reduction management to safeguard earnings. At the same time, it will cultivate new growth drivers to achieve sustainable development.

Regarding asset management, China Pacific Insurance (Group) Co., Ltd. will uphold a long-term perspective, maintain asset-liability matching management, actively seize investment opportunities, and deliver stable and sustained investment returns.
