On January 30th, the launch meeting and signing ceremony for the Jilin-Switzerland cooperation on Changbai Mountain ginseng was held in Changchun. The special task force for promoting the high-quality development of Jilin's ginseng industry signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Switzerland's Dr. Dong Group. The two parties will jointly establish a permanent cultural exhibition and product experience platform for "Changbai Mountain Ginseng" in Geneva, Switzerland, aiming to develop it into a vital showcase and exchange center for the product within the Swiss and EU markets.
Changbai Mountain ginseng is a golden name card for Jilin Province. In 2025, the output value of Jilin's ginseng industry historically surpassed 100 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 30.5%.
Switzerland's Dr. Dong Group is an entity established in Geneva with experience in Swiss market networks and international brand operations. Following the agreement signing, the group will assist Changbai Mountain ginseng products in entering the Swiss and EU markets, deepen market recognition, and establish a sales model driven by both cross-border e-commerce and physical channels. The goal is to become a leading supplier of high-end ginseng products in the Swiss and EU markets within three years.
Heads of several leading Changbai Mountain ginseng enterprises from Jilin Province attended the meeting. Wang Shufan, Chairman of Jilin Changbai Mountain Ginseng Co., Ltd., expressed confidence that more concrete and effective measures will follow to help Jilin ginseng expand internationally.
It was also learned that Jilin Province has established Changbai Mountain ginseng experience outlets in key sales regions outside the province, as well as in Hong Kong and Macao. The province is expanding the "four sharings" cooperative circle with Guangdong, building integrated online and offline channels to further develop the high-end market.
