Yesterday (October 28), Li Qiufeng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department, led a delegation to several locations including the Congxin Agricultural Base, the Yangtze River Delta National Innovation Center Agricultural Robot 4S Store, and the Majiali Grain Drying Center, conducting inspections of autumn harvest operations by going deep into fields, equipment exhibition halls, and drying workshops.
Li Qiufeng emphasized the need to earnestly implement the arrangements made at the national and provincial "Three Autumns" agricultural production work conferences, treat autumn harvest and planting as the top priority at present, firmly shoulder the political responsibility for food security, make every effort to ensure a bountiful autumn grain harvest, and coordinate the layout of autumn sowing production to lay a solid foundation for next year's summer harvest.
At the Congxin Agriculture rice fields, golden waves of rice swayed as harvesters moved through them. Li Qiufeng affirmed the integrated model of "planting, processing, storage, and sales" established by the base, encouraged the enterprise to ensure rice quality through refined management, full-chain traceability, and constant-temperature storage, and to strengthen its brand of premium tasty rice. At the Yangtze River Delta National Innovation Center Agricultural Robot 4S Store, Li Qiufeng gained a detailed understanding of the operating model of this platform, the world's first agricultural robot 4S platform. Inside the greenhouse testing facility, agricultural robots were methodically carrying out operations, and he stopped to observe the details of the equipment's performance. He pointed out that the platform integrates functions such as display and experience, sales and delivery, technical services, and customized solutions, and that it is necessary to amplify its demonstration effect, promote the application of smart agricultural machinery, and inject technological momentum into the development of modern agriculture.
At the Majiali Grain Drying Center, golden rice grains entered the drying equipment via conveyor belts, and warm air mixed with the fragrance of rice filled the workshop. Li Qiufeng carefully examined the drying process and learned about safety management measures. He emphasized that while focusing on the key tasks of rapid harvesting and drying, it is essential to firmly tighten safety production responsibilities, strictly implement procedures for dust removal and fire prevention, ensure that grain is harvested and dried in a timely manner, and firmly safeguard farmers' incomes.
