Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index Drops Over 2%, China Life Insurance Plunges More Than 7%

Hong Kong's major stock indices saw their losses deepen on the trading day, with the Hang Seng Index falling by more than 2% and the Hang Seng Tech Index declining by 1.54%.

Among the constituents of the Hang Seng Index, China Life Insurance Company Limited shares led the downturn with a drop exceeding 7%. China Hongqiao Group Limited and Longfor Group Holdings Ltd also experienced significant declines, each falling more than 5%.

Other notable decliners included Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. and Lenovo Group Limited, both down over 4%. Shares of Pop Mart International Group Ltd, Haier Smart Home Co., Ltd., and Alibaba Group Holding Limited were also under pressure, trading nearly 4% lower.
