CORNERSTONE TEC Holdings (08391) has announced a significant milestone in its overseas market expansion, specifically regarding its ongoing collaboration with its long-term technology partner, PT CST Solusi Indonesia (Stroom).
Leveraging this technical partnership, the Group has officially launched a new electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Developed through a strategic partnership with Grab, details of the newly operational station are as follows:
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia – the largest EV charging hub in central Jakarta.
Facility Configuration: 1.44 megawatts (MW), comprising 12 high-power 120-kilowatt (kW) DC fast-charging piles, providing a total of 24 charging points.
Fleet Support: To optimize fleet efficiency and support Grab's green transition plan, a portion of the charging points at this station will be exclusively reserved for Grab drivers.
Target Users: Beyond the exclusive configuration for Grab, the station also aims to meet the high-frequency charging demands of other fleet operators, ride-hailing drivers, and the general public, thereby significantly accelerating the electrification of urban transport in the capital.
Planned Project (to be launched in the coming months):
Location: Bali, Indonesia – the largest EV charging hub in Bali.
Infrastructure Configuration: 0.72 megawatts (MW), including 6 high-power 120-kilowatt (kW) DC fast-charging piles, providing a total of 12 charging points.
The Board views Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, as a high-growth market for electric vehicle infrastructure. Following the successful launch of the Jakarta station, the Group and Stroom aim to deepen their footprint in the region.
Planned Project Objectives: Multiple additional charging stations are already being planned for various key strategic hubs across Indonesia.
Strategic Impact: This expansion aligns with the Group's core strategy of broadening its geographic reach, capturing the growing global demand for sustainable transportation infrastructure, and creating long-term, stable returns for the Group and its shareholders.
