The North China Energy Regulatory Bureau is intensifying efforts to ensure a stable and secure electricity supply during the summer peak consumption period. In light of the significant commissioning of supporting power sources in the Hebei South Grid area ahead of the peak season, the bureau has concentrated on its core responsibilities by expediting the review process for power generation business licenses. This efficient regulatory service aims to enable relevant power generation enterprises to obtain market participation qualifications promptly, thereby stimulating their initiative to operate at stable and full capacity.
The bureau has optimized its workflow, implementing measures such as extended service hours, expedited approvals, and on-demand review. While maintaining approval quality and adhering to compliance standards, it is maximizing the speed of the licensing process. Since the onset of the summer peak period, the bureau has completed the necessary licensing procedures for six key enterprises in the Hebei South Grid. This has facilitated the acquisition of required operational qualifications for thermal power units with a total capacity of 1.67 million kilowatts and new energy generation projects totaling 218,000 kilowatts.
Moving forward, the North China Energy Regulatory Bureau will continue to focus on the core task of ensuring power supply during the summer peak. It plans to further refine the licensing review mechanism for power generation businesses and strengthen targeted support measures. These efforts are designed to serve the high-quality development of enterprises, enhance their internal drive for effective power supply support, and contribute to solidifying the power source foundation for both electricity supply security and overall energy security.
