CMBC Capital Appoints Chen Hua as Executive Director, General Manager and Committee Member

On 30 July 2026, CMBC Capital Holdings Limited (CMBC Capital) announced the appointment of Chen Hua as Executive Director and General Manager, effective the same day. Chen will concurrently join the Executive Committee, the Risk Management and Internal Control Committee, and the Strategic Development Committee.

Chen, aged 45, brings 19 years of banking experience. He became Deputy General Manager of CMBC International Holdings Limited, CMBC Capital’s indirect controlling shareholder, on 29 July 2026. From 2022 to 2026 he served as Senior Credit Officer in the Credit Approval Department at China Minsheng Banking Corp. Ltd. Between 2007 and 2022 he held several senior roles at China Development Bank, including Deputy Director of the Methodologies and Standards Division within the head-office Risk Management Department, General Manager of both the Legal and Compliance Department and the Risk Management Department at the Hong Kong Branch. He was seconded to the former China Banking Regulatory Commission’s Banking Supervision Department IV from 2010 to 2011.

Chen is a CFA charterholder. His academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree in transportation (port and shipping administration) from Dalian Maritime University and a master’s degree in management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Under the three-year appointment, Chen’s directorship is subject to rotation and re-election at CMBC Capital’s annual general meetings. Either party may terminate the contract with three months’ written notice or a shorter mutually agreed period. Chen will not receive remuneration from the company.

The company confirmed that Chen holds no shares in CMBC Capital, has no relationships with directors, senior management, or major shareholders, and has not held directorships in other listed companies during the past three years. The board extended a formal welcome to Chen upon his appointment.
