Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index closed 0.2% lower at 3300.04 amid weak risk sentiment.

A heavy selloff on Wall Street overnight and rising expectations that the U.S. Federal Reserve will continue with its hawkish stance weighed on risk sentiment in the region, said IG market strategist Yeap Jun Rong in a note. Declines were broad-based.

Among REITs, Mapletree Logistics Trust fell 1.8%, CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust declined 1.5% and Keppel DC REIT fell 1.5%.

Gainers included Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, which rose 3.05%.
