Bank of Communications Co.,Ltd. has successfully completed its debut 2026 green financial bond issuance in the interbank market, with a total issuance size of 200 billion yuan. The three-year floating-rate notes carry an initial coupon rate of 1.52%.
This marks the first floating-rate green bond issued by the bank. The initial issuance base was set at 50 billion yuan, but strong demand from 40 institutional investors led to an oversubscription of 150 billion yuan. Investors include banks, funds, and securities firms.
The successful issuance reflects strong market recognition of the bank's green finance capabilities. It represents a concrete step in supporting the national "dual-carbon" strategy and advancing green finance initiatives.
Proceeds from the bond will be fully allocated to green industry projects that meet the criteria outlined in the "Green Finance Support Project Catalogue (2025 Edition)." This will enable the bank to further strengthen its green finance offerings and channel financial resources toward the comprehensive green and low-carbon transformation of the economy and society.
Looking ahead, the bank will continue to pursue high-quality development, enhance its integrated service system, and reinforce its commitment to green finance as a key strategic priority.
