Xiaomi Auto Strengthens Overseas Push: Vice President Yu Liguo to Lead International Business Preparatory Team

Xiaomi Auto has announced an executive reshuffle, with Vice President Yu Liguo taking on the additional role of heading the overseas business preparatory team. Yu Liguo previously served as president of Arcfox, a subsidiary of BAIC Group. After joining Xiaomi Auto in January 2022, he initially held the position of Vice President and Political Commissar of Xiaomi Auto's Beijing headquarters, overseeing comprehensive management, special project advancement, and organizational and talent development. In August of the same year, he also assumed the role of General Manager of Xiaomi Auto's Product Department, responsible for product definition and product line management. By 2025, Yu Liguo will be in charge of the Smart Manufacturing Department, factory operations, and system operations. In his new capacity as head of the overseas business preparatory team, Yu Liguo will report directly to both Lei Jun, CEO of the group and President of Xiaomi Auto, and Lu Weibing, President of the group. Xiaomi Auto is accelerating its overseas expansion plans. According to information disclosed by Lu Weibing, Partner and President of Xiaomi Group, during an investor day event, Xiaomi Auto is expected to begin its global rollout in the second half of 2027, starting with the European market, followed by entry into right-hand drive markets in the first half of 2028.
