Stock News12-24

HXTL (01085) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhangyu Energy Storage (Chengmai) Co., Ltd., recently received a reply letter from Hainan Power Grid Co., Ltd. (Hainan Power Grid) regarding the grid connection plan for the Zhangyu 200MW/400MWh independent energy storage project. Hainan Power Grid has in principle approved the project's connection to its grid and provided specific recommendations on the integration plan.

The project, located in Chengmai County, Hainan Province, has a capacity of 200MW/400MWh. Once operational, it will primarily provide grid ancillary services such as peak shaving, load shifting, and frequency regulation.

According to the reply, Hainan Power Grid has agreed to connect the project via a 220kV line to the 220kV Yulou substation, with a new transmission line spanning approximately 5 kilometers. A designated bay has been allocated at the Yulou substation, while a backup bay will be reserved at the energy storage station. The letter also includes technical requirements and a schematic diagram of the grid connection.

The board believes that securing grid connection approval marks a significant milestone in advancing the project, bringing it a crucial step closer to commissioning. This progress aligns with the group’s core development strategy in renewable energy, services, and energy storage. The successful operation of the project is expected to contribute to the group’s business growth and revenue.
