Market Open: Domestic Futures Contracts Mostly Higher, SC Crude Surges Nearly 5%

At the opening of trading on August 18, 2026, the majority of domestic futures main contracts posted gains. SC Crude surged nearly 5%, while Fuel Oil and Ethylene Glycol (EG) both advanced close to 4%. Container Shipping (Europe Route) climbed more than 3%, with Synthetic Rubber and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) each gaining nearly 3%. Additionally, Asphalt and Low-Sulfur Fuel Oil (LU) both rose over 2%.

On the downside, Tin and Starch each fell more than 1%, while International Copper, Eggs, and Copper all edged down by nearly 1%.
