Amid the vibrant renewal of spring, the International Academic Exchange Center of the University of Science and Technology of China officially broke ground on the morning of March 13th at 8:00 AM, following the successful drilling of the first foundation pile. The project's swift launch reflects a proactive approach to construction, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development throughout the year.
Located at the intersection of Jinzhai Road and Taihu Road in Baohe District, Hefei, the center spans a total construction area of approximately 61,271 square meters. It will comprise a 30-story apartment building (Tower A), a 14-story apartment building (Tower B), a two-level underground parking facility, and other supporting infrastructure.
The initiation of this project underscores the University of Science and Technology of China's commitment to advancing international education and expanding academic exchange platforms. It also represents a key step for Hefei in enhancing its scientific and educational infrastructure and supporting the development of innovation-driven hubs.
Upon completion, the center will provide high-quality exchange services for scholars, faculty, and students from China and abroad. It will further improve the university's international service system, facilitate the expansion of its global academic collaboration network, and elevate its international reputation and influence. Additionally, the project will inject new momentum into Hefei's efforts to become a dynamic hub for technological innovation, attracting and nurturing high-caliber talent.
With the commencement of piling work, the project has now entered the substantive construction phase. Moving forward, the Municipal Key Projects Administration Bureau will adhere to high standards, strict requirements, and accelerated progress to ensure quality control, safety, and timely completion, striving to deliver an exemplary project.
