Broad-based ETFs See Sustained High Turnover, with STAR 50 ChinaAMC (588000) and ChiNext ETF E Fund (159915) Leading the Market

On July 20, the A-share market experienced a volatile upward movement, with the Shanghai Composite Index reclaiming the 3800-point level. Trading in broad-based ETFs remained highly active, with numerous products maintaining high turnover volumes, indicating a recovery in market sentiment.

As of the time of writing, theSTAR 50 ETF ChinaAMC (588000)led all broad-based ETFs in the market with a turnover of 19.475 billion yuan and a turnover rate of 29.04%. However, it closed down 0.78% for the day with a discount of 0.24%. Its year-to-date gain remains at 26.53%, though it has fallen 14.62% over the past five trading days. Another ETF in the STAR 50 segment, theSTAR 50 ETF E Fund (588080), recorded a turnover of 2.854 billion yuan with a turnover rate of 7.40%, trading at a slight premium of 0.05% and boasting a year-to-date gain of 27.04%.

TheChiNext ETF E Fund (159915)ranked second with a turnover of 16.429 billion yuan, a turnover rate of 31.87%, and a minor discount of 0.03%. It has risen 7.97% since the start of the year. TheChiNext 50 ETF ChinaAMC (159949)saw a turnover of 3.894 billion yuan and a turnover rate of 18.45%, edging down 0.18% for the day, with a year-to-date increase of 7.49%.

Among large-cap blue-chip ETFs, theCSI 300 ETF Huatai-PineBridge (510300)recorded a turnover of 15.927 billion yuan and a turnover rate of 15.85%. Since regaining the top spot in terms of fund size, the ETF has shown a clear trend of sustained capital inflows. Other products in the CSI 300 series also saw activity: theCSI 300 ETF E Fund (510310)had a turnover of 1.749 billion yuan, trading at a 0.03% premium; theCSI 300 ETF E Fund (159919)recorded a turnover of 1.604 billion yuan with a 0.07% premium. TheSSE 50 ETF ChinaAMC (510050)posted a turnover of 4.344 billion yuan and a turnover rate of 17.62%.
