Iranian Military Warns of Halting Regional Oil Exports if US Attacks Infrastructure

Deep News05:00

On the 22nd, the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement declaring that the United States has once again threatened to strike Iran's national infrastructure. Following a warning issued the previous night, it is now announced again that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed. Any vessel that genuinely needs to pass through the strait must do so according to the previously announced designated routes and procedures.

The statement said that if the United States carries out its threat, the Iranian armed forces will not allow a single drop of oil to be exported from the region. Oil, natural gas, electricity, and economic infrastructure within the region will all become targets for strikes.

The statement indicated that repeated threats from the United States will only lead to a further expansion of war in the region, potentially even spreading beyond the region.

Earlier on the 22nd, US President Trump posted on social media stating that from now on, whenever Iran fires on a vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, whether using missiles, rockets, drones, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy an Iranian bridge or power plant. Subsequently, sources within the Iranian military stated that Iran possesses a firm will in exercising its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and will absolutely not allow the strait to become a tool for threats against Iran again.
